Baytree is not the grandest of retirement communities neither is it the largest. However it is an affordable community, very attractive and in Tavares which is the Lake County seat. Tavares has much more to offer than you will likely see at first glance.

The community

The main attraction of the community is peace and quiet. It stands as a stark contrast to The Villages. If you however love lakes, golf and the small town feel you get that plus an attractive affordable home surrounded by like minded residents. in The northern part of the community there are some canal front homes which lead out to the Chain of Lakes. If you drive out to the community drive through all of it and not just the portion near the front.

The community was built in 1990 and the last home was built in 2003. The homes vary in size from 1,004 to 2,757.  In the previous 2 years homes have sold her from just $115,000 to $178,000. HOA fees are approximately $65 per month and include and include pool and some recreation areas.
