Markham Forest is a small community of 42 homes located on the corner of West State Road 46 and Longwood Markham Road. The community entrance is on Longwood Markham Rd. There is a large pond in the center of the community and a small lake named Ross Lake to the southeast. Normally you can walk over to the lake.

Markham Forest was built in 2004 and 2005. It is a lovely community and provides housing from 2,205 square feet to 4,200 square feet of living area. The homes here have sold for prices up to $650,000. The trick is catching one for sale. In the previous 3 years only 8 have sold with an average price of approximately $435,000. For this part of Sanford that is a really good price range.

The community is located about 5 miles west of Interstate 4. Right before you get to I-4 you will drive by the local supermarket and some convenient stores. On the eastern side of I-4 you will find much more as you approach the city. Markham Forest is in a rural area but near civilization and easy commuting. It will not take you long to fall in love with the area.
