55 Plus Communities in Orlando FL
The Palms of Serenoa is a relatively new community located to the west of Disney World. Technically this community is located in Clermont Florida just off of US-27 and a few miles south of Clermont's downtown area. At first glance it seems like a fairly long drive to Disney but that is not really the case. The main entrance is located just off of Sawgrass Bay Blvd and this road will be connecting to Western Way very soon. That will place the Palms of Serenoa within just a few minutes of Disney.
The homes here were built by Dr Horton. Construction continues throughout 2021, the amenities are good plus shopping and other entertainment is nearby. A Publix Supermarket is 3.9 miles from the community entrance.
Kings Ridge in Clermont FL is a more established 55+ Community located near central Clermont FL. Kings Ridge is a golfing community and certainly has a lot going for it. Over 100 new residents settled in here in the previous 12 months. Prices ranged from $185,000 to $356,000. The community is gated and guarded. Not to mention the golf course and amenities.
Nestled up to the community on it's southwestern corner is the local Publix and quite a few other stores. If you wish to go downtown that to is just a few minutes away. Currently Disney World is about a 30 minute drive.
Ridgewood Lakes Village in Davenport FL is right next to Del Webb. On a normal day it takes about 20 minutes to make the drive from the gated community entrance to Disney World Resort. The main entrance is located on US-27 around 3 1/2 miles south of Interstate-4.
This community also has a lot going for it. Great amenities and even some new homes. Building continues to this date while the first homes here were built in the mid 1990's. There is a golf course and the HOA is around $160 per month.
