Lake Crescent in Windermere FL  

Lake Crescent is one of the lakes in Windermere, it's a beautiful 187-acre spring fed lake located immediately north of Lake Butler. Although it is not considered among the Butler Chain of Lakes it could easily be included. The same underwater spring system feeds Lake Crescent. In fact, it is nearly navigable from Lake Butler. There is a canal that passes under Lake Butler Blvd/Park Ave which connects the lakes.

Lake Crescent is a lake with beautiful lakefront homes all along it’s shores. There are several communities which need to be accessed from different roads. The most famous of these communities and the largest is the Windermere Club. The Windermere club has 42 homes which set on Lake Crescents Western Bank. These homes start at the canal which connects Lake Crescent to Lake Butler and go all of the way to the 36 homes which are along the northern and northeastern bank. Some of these homes are quite old and are located on a dirt road.
Crescent Lake Estates (East) is a group of 15 homes on Crescent Lake Dr. and Crescent Lake Ct. This believe it or not is a non-gated community that does not even have a community sign. The entrance is located on the south side of Windermere Rd and is called Haley Dr.
On the southeastern tip of Lake Crescent there is a subdivision names The Manors and Butler Bay Recreation Area. The Manors has one very nice home which is on the lake just east of the Recreation area. This park is a great park that is very well maintained. The tennis courts and picnic areas are used by many local residents. There is plenty of shade and parking there.
Lake Crescent Reserve has two sections with 18 lakefront homes. There is another which is on the canal between Lake Butler and Lake Crescent which could be included. Lake Crescent Reserve is a small and beautiful gated community which is easily noticeable. Its’ entrances are on the northside of Park Ave just east of the Windermere Club. Lake Crescent is just one of the beautiful lakes in Windermere.
