It cost $15 per person to ride the swan boats. Each boat should have atleast 2 riders and rentals are for 30 minutes. The boats have a maximum weight limit of 1,400 pounds and a maximum capacity of up to five people. There is now a wheelchair lift making the boats more accessible. You are also allowed to take approved service animals.
You can rent a swan boat weather permitting, any day but Monday on a first come first served basis. Where are they located? It is probably easiest to describe the location as the northwest corner of lake Eola Park beside the Amphitheater with the rainbow colors.
You power the swan boat which you rent with good old fashioned pedaling. Don't expect them to be fast but don't expect it to be very difficult. Two people can easily paddle the boat all around the lake. Most opt for cruising by the Lake Eola Fountain for a photo or take videos.
You will see several types of turtles, more than one real life swan and lots of different types of ducks, birds and squirrels. Spring time is my favorite time to visit the lake. The city of Orlando has put a great deal of effort in the design of the park and they take great care of it. See you soon riding a beautiful white swan boat on Lake Eola.
